This year the festival focuses on a Woman – an avant-gardist, a housewife, a prostitute. With the help of the Focus program, the festival contextualizes the most significant avant-garde and contemporary moving image art phenomena in a modern perspective on feminism. 2ANNAS offers a chronologically arranged look at the history of the cinema in the 20th and 21st century and the feminism movement ideas, a selection of women in the Baltic cinema and the most scandalous young artist works of recent years from across the world, debut of female directors, and much more. 2ANNAS searches for the boundaries in film art and focuses on the female directors who are the cornerstones in film and moving image because of their creative work, yet are still unknown in the popular culture. Leaning on the recognized values and the contemporary context that is presented in a comprehensive, enjoyable and educational values. Festival consists of three parts, competition programme, focus programme, and special events.
