The program of short films “Green Anna” created by children and youth this year will take place already for the fourth year. For the program there are selected twelve short films of different genres (animation, documental, experimental, feature films etc.) made in 2008 and 2009, the authors of which are children and youth up to the age of 18. The film show of  “Green Anna” has a motto “sum=it `09. Revaluation of values” and is intended as an informal discussion for the authors of the films where also the film director, cameraman and producer Askolds Saulītis will give his estimation of the films.

Askolds Saulītis (1966)

Askolds Saulītis has graduated from Latvian Academy of Culture with a Bachelor’s degree in TV production and has studied film script and production in Denmark, Sweden and at B. Frumin’s (NY University).
A. Saulītis as a cameraman and director has announced himself in 1989, in 2000 he has formed a film producing company Subjective Filma.
A. Saulītis has produced feature, documental and animation films, such as “Tristan and Isolde”  “Clara and Rubinstein” “Rīga – City of Inspiration”, “Keep Smiling!”, “The Red and the Brown”, “Debt to Afganistan” etc.

This year on the screen is released A. Saulītis film “Nazis and Blondes”, a co-production work of Estonia and Latvia.
