How To Submit A Film
In 2009 festival presents 3
competition programs:
International Competition
– open to
contributions by filmmakers of all national representations, produced by
individuals, international film schools, film studios etc. (with film directors aged 20-35);
Baltic Competition – presents works by Baltic
directors, showing the newest tendencies and development of Baltic short film
and video production with the aim to proceed exchange of ideas and experience
among Baltic young filmmakers (with film directors aged 20 – 35);
Green Anna Competition – for films and videos created by children and youngsters from Latvia (film directors aged under 19).
INTERNATIONAL AND BALTIC COMPETITION
Any filmmaker, producer, organization or other party can submit films to the festival.
To enter a film, please follow given guidelines:
- Fill the entry form online and submit it through festival’s web-page;
- Information will be registered in festival’s data base. You will receive a filled entry form in print format to the e-mail address you have provided;
- Print the completed form, sign it and send it along with a preview copy of the film to the address below:

Deadline extended! Deadline for submissions is 13th of April, 2009.
Remember to mark all the dispatches: "For temporary, cultural purposes only. No commercial value."
Please
notice: The preview copies will not be returned.
Please,
prepare following material before filling the entry form:
1) Synopsis of the film in English;
2) A complete list of dialogue if available (if the work is in English or
Latvian);
3) English subtitles (if the work is in another language than English or
Latvian);
4) At least 1 photo (jpg).
Entry Requirements
Admitted are all films and videos of all genres not exceeding a length of 30
minutes. Director's age must be 19-35. In exceptional cases festival reserves the right to accept films of
longer duration. Films must have been completed on January 1st, 2007 or
after. Films which have been shown or awarded at other
international film festivals are allowed to compete. Required format for preview copy is DVD.
One film can be submitted to one prior competition. The selection committee reserves the right to select film in another competition program (in this case festival will inform the person submitting the film). You can submit more than one film to all of the competition programs.
Selection
A panelist will select the films for International and Baltic Competition from
all entered contributions in April 2009 and will contact the contact persons for the selected films to send the screening copy to the festival until May 5. The required format for screening copies are: BETACAM, DV or DVCAM.
The works not selected for competition programs will not be showed.
In the begining of May 2009 visit www.2annas.lv, where list of all films selected for the competitions will be put online.
The winners will be announced on festival’s web-page and contacted by e-mail shortly after the festival.
GREEN ANNA FILM PROGRAMME
Green Anna Film Programme – starting with year 2009 Green Anna Film Programme (director's age until 19) is open only for Latvian submissions. Admitted are all films and videos of all genres not exceeding a length of 30 minutes and produced within the last 2 years.
